I don't think they will be in the same class as Aperature or Lightroom, but their lack of agility in releasing more frequent updates will drive some people up into those products who would have been very happy with a working version of ACDSee Pro. If they fix the base rendering issue with RAW (MRW in my case) is actually very nice for RAW. I would say this is great tool for anyone using a jpg workflow. I have asked and weeks later no one will give me a clue about when the fix to the raw rendering issue. ACDSee's pro-level tool offers many powerful photo organizing and editing tools, but it falls short of competitors in raw camera file conversion and usability. However, when I discovered almost two months ago that they were mis- rendering my RAW files it really took a hit in my mind. Except for missingversioning and virtual collections / albums (which you can create using the editable catagories) it is really powerful for organizing.
